Lycra suit

Yesterday we picked up Aiden’s first Lycra suit (funded by the NHS), it’s a short arm and leg body suit.  The theory is that the closeness of the material helps to support variations in tone through the body, along with rotational pull.  The suits are made for each individual, the stitching helps to encourage Aiden to have more stability in his core and round his pelvis.  We need to build up the time that Aiden wears his suit, we started with half an hour and he can now wear it for several hours at a time, eventually it will be worn from morning to evening.

We’re very fortunate that this was funded, Aiden was the smallest person they’ve had fitted for a Lycra suit in our area, watch this space to see how he progresses.
