In February Aiden’s dad, Keith will be turning 50 and to celebrate this milestone he has chosen to compete in five half marathons: yes 5!!
Keith will run the Great North Run again to help raise continued funds for Aiden’s on going therapy costs. The other 4 are for charities which have impacted our lives through Aiden’s journey and Keith’s way to give back.
To kick start the challenge on March 1st, Team Aiden will take on the Vitality Big Half in London for Action Medical Research. This charity is so dear to our hearts that we have become ambassadors for them. They provided the funds for research to be carried out on cooling therapy, Aiden received this treatment following his birth. Whilst Aiden was in the NICU he participated in research to monitor blood flow and oxygen levels in his brain, this was again funded by Action Medical and so it’s now Keith’s turn to help.
Team Aiden consists of Keith, his eldest son Keiran and our friends Angela and Al. Everyone is busy training and preparing. For some, this will be there first half marathon, we’re all very excited and as long we finish it doesn’t matter how long it takes #teamspirit

Then on March 1st Keith will be running the Brentwood Half Marathon for REACH. This is the charity where Aiden does his hippotherapy each week. Aiden’s mummy, Fleur has aleady become a trustee for them and again, Keith is going to use his feet to help raise awareness and funds for them so that more children like Aiden can have access to hippotherapy.
The final 2 half marathons will be for the Sick Childrens Trust who provided us with accomodation while Aiden was in intensive care and the last one will be for Brainwave, who have provided Aiden with a home physiotherapy program, therapy sessions and equipment.
What this space for updates on Keiths accomplishments.
