In October 2019 Aiden took another trip across the pond to the Napa Centre, however this time it was their newest clinic in Boston, USA.
This trip was challenging, rewarding, tough and inspiring, but Aiden never ceased to amaze us with his determination and grit to get through. He made great progress and gained strength in his legs, core, developed his ability to form sounds and gained a new level of love from everyone he met. I would say it’s safe to say his level of cheekiness has also increased, he loved to make jokes and laugh with his therapists. One of his favourite things to do is make pretend food in speech (practising the words in, on, our eat and more) and then put in all the foods he knows I (mum) doesn’t like, he finds it hilarious (and so do we).
The therapists challenged Aiden, pushed him, laughed with him, held him and cheered him on all the way, GO TEAM AIDEN!
We met other families there travelling the same journey as us, it’s good to be amongst others who fully understand this life, the highs and lows and all the in-betweens. The bond between all parents and all the children is fantastic, it’s great to have so many people cheer your child on and then in return praise others achievements.
As Always we have to give a huge shout out to everyone who has supported, donated and fundraised for Aiden. None of this is possible without your constant help and love for our son. We thank you with everything we have.
