On September 8th 2019 Aiden’s dad Keith is stepping up to the plate and taking on his first ever half marathon, the Great North Run. Keeping Aiden company on the run will be Lorraine, Lorraine has been an amazing support for Aiden and is his former 1:1 support from nursery.
New running shoes have been brought and the training has commenced. Keith is out putting in the time to essentially learn how to run, how to pace himself and how to keep motivated. He has a plan and each run increases in distance.
Ultimately Keiths goal is to complete the run in 4 hours, but more than that it’s to show Aiden that it doesn’t matter how long it takes to get to the end goal, it’s the effort and determination to finish which is important. We know that Aiden faces many challenges on a daily basis and we want him to know that it doesn’t matter how long it takes his to achieve something new, but its that he doesn’t give up and keeps on working towards his goal.
Keith and Lorraine would welcome any support and donations, for this they’ve set up a JustGiving page through Aiden’s Just4Children page, all donations do directly to Aiden to help pay for this continued therapy costs.

Good luck Keith, you will be brilliant, just make sure you stop running at the finish line 🌝
Thank you Chris, training is going well and I’m really looking forward to the challenge. Thinking of Aiden will get me over the finish line.
