In November 2016 Aiden headed out to the Napa Centre in LA for his second intensive session of the year. It was another successful trip with Aiden managing to stand against a wall without support for 62 seconds!! He also was able to develop his waking skills, took his first bike ride and improved his trunk and head control.
Below is a little video of this amazing boys journey.
Wow
What a little champ.
My son is three with quite severe hypotonia in the trunk so still cant sit unaided. Was there a point where Aiden muscle tone dramatically improved?
Hello, it’s been a slow progression, his tone is constantly improving. I would definitely say the CME and hippotherapy have helped with his core strength, we have a good mix of therapies which all compliment each other.
Thanks for replying. Having a disabled child very very similar to your child and seeing Aiden improve day by day is inspiring.
Thanks for the blog and updates.
Btw are you still doing the hippotherapy?
Hi I met you in John Lewis Chelmsford today. I helped you with a Panasonic television.
Aiden is an amazing boy and his smile is so inspiring.
Can you tell me in more detail what you are planning to use the tv for to help Aiden?.
I wish you all the very best for the future.
Eleanor (Panasonic manager Chelmsford)
Hi Eleanor, thank you for getting in touch. Aiden is non-verbal so we want to get him using eye-gaze technology so he can begin to communicate using his eyes. It will take some time for him to learn and the products available are very expensive. He will begin by playing games, so controlling a certain aspect of a game with his eyes and making things move, we would then eventually move onto words. It’s lovely to hear from you.
