BGC Charity

A couple of weeks ago Aiden was invited to attend the BGC Charity Day to represent Action Medical Research.  Every year BGC honour colleagues who were lost in the 9/11 attacks by donating all the money raised through trades on a set day to a variety of charities.

Action Medical Research were lucky enough to be chosen as one of the charities to receive funds and they asked Aiden to attend the event to help raise awareness.  Davina McCall is a patron for AMR and also attended the event, we were fortunate to enough to spend a little time with her.

Each of the charities present brought with them a patron, each patron would then head up to the trading floor and get on the phones to drum up trades.  It was great to experience such a wonderfully organised day and to learn about the other charities.  One of the highlights of the day was meting other families who had similar experiences and understood what we were going through.

The day was themed as Roald Dahl, there were activities set up for all the children attending, we were really well looked after.  We were able to meet some of the other patrons and talked about how AMR helped Aiden and the important medical research they do.  Aiden was a little star and charmed everyone who met him, so much so we were able to get some inspirational messages for him . . .

  1. I have just had the pleasure of meeting AMAZING AIDEN , and his wonderfull parents after buying their car , I have to say that this little boy is beyond words .He smiles and lights up your heart , just so lovely to see how loved he is and despite the unfortunate condition that he endures he has a piercing smile that is so innocent warm and happy, it makes you realise how lucky we are to have the means to help those less fortunate than ourselves , He will need a steady flow of money to continue his ongoing treatment and needs , I hope the future fundraising exceeds all expectations and Aiden is given all the help he needs , best of luck Little Man ,
